Business 1st provides a positive and supportive environment for men and women to further their business through word of mouth referrals and marketing.
Networking requires commitment. Business 1st is comprised of members who are truly committed to helping one another through networking. We are a team. As member of Business 1st you are responsible for complying with the guidelines as listed below:
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW
- Only one person from each professional category is permitted to join
- All members should represent their primary occupation, not p/t business or an additional business
- Attendance is paramount, if you cannot attend a meeting, you may send a substitute. This will not count as an absence
- If more than two absences in one calendar month are incurred, Business 1st will contact you for an update, three absences and written notice will be given. A fourth absence will be taken by Business 1st of Notice to Quit the Membership, should this happen you will not be entitled to a refund on your Membership
- Whilst being a Business 1st member you are not allowed whatsoever to approach any existing members or their guests to join or attend any other Networking Group
- Your data will me shared with other members of Business 1st for networking purposes
MEETING ETIQUETTE
The key elements of etiquette to remember:
- be there on time
- dress appropriately
- know when to speak and when to listen
- be courteous and considerate to others
- mobile must be either switched off or put on Silent Mode. If you need to take a call please take it outside
COMPLAINTS
Business 1st provides a positive and supportive environment for the group to further their business through word of mouth marketing. As a professional organization we have a duty to our Members to listen to any complaints they may have, whether that complaint be about a network meeting, an invited guest or indeed a member of the Business 1st group.
All complaints will be dealt with promptly and professionally by Business 1st and may encompass any of the following:
If a complaint is made by a member of the group about another member, Business 1st will assess the severity of the complaint. If Business 1st deems the complaint to be:
- either of a serious nature whether professionally or personally
- detrimental to the professional running of the group
- providing a poor or substandard service causing a vote of “no confidence” within the group
Business 1st will have no choice but to terminate membership status. Should a termination be required, membership fees will not be refunded.
ANNUAL MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL
Membership should not be thought of, automatic it is based on member’s commitment and effort made for the benefit of the group, including
- Guests invited
- Referrals passed to members
- Sharing of Events, social media presence, marketing literature and members website/companies
- Involvement in Business 1st events
